Master Reset is a protocol that can be used to treat the nervous system utilizing the Neubie device. When we have pain our sympathetic nervous system is put into overdrive. The sympathetic nervous system is a branch of the autonomic nervous system that controls our fight or flight response. The purpose of the master reset is to allow the body to “reset” from a sympathetic nervous system stress response state to a parasympathetic relaxation and recovery state. By activating the parasympathetic nervous system it can help to decrease pain levels and allow for full body relaxation. We commonly use the Master Reset for patients with high or chronic pain as well as with individuals with vertigo. The set up is 2 pads are placed on the neck and 2 pads are placed on the bottoms of the feet. The intensity is turned up to a relaxing level and the client lies in a quiet and dark room to allow the body to relax with cues to focus on breathing.

The Parasympathetic Nervous System is responsible for restoring the body to a state of calm, slowing heart rate l, improving heart rate variability, digesting food, sleeping, and relaxing muscles.
